NEW YEAR, a NEW BOOK, and a NEW WEBSITE!

Sorry for the dearth of recent posts... I've been REALLY busy.

What if your Grumpy Old Mansplainer gave a college commencement address?

The new book is compendium of practical advice for new college graduates--

available in early April 2026.

It's been a terrible winter for driving a truck-- I've been outright stranded a few times and delayed way too often. In amongst extended workweeks, missed weekly home-time (twice), and a really bad chest cold, with scant preparation I took the LSAT in January and the GRE in February... scoring well enough relative to my fellow test-takers on both tests to make me worry anew about how screwed we are with our next generation of leaders.

And while I was doing all THAT, I've been writing a book and developing its companion website. THE GRUMPY OLD MANSPLAINER'S COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS draws heavily on my life and work experience and the hundreds of lessons I learned the hard (and often expensive) way. Topics include the following:

--The 4 things you need in your first post-college apartment

--How much does it really cost to own a car?

--Making your own meals instead of living in restaurants

--Setting up your kitchen like a pro

--Should you buy life insurance?

--How to buy $40 wine for $10

--How to fix a clogged drain

--Successfully fighting for a refund

--My foolproof negotiation technique

...and much, MUCH more.

It is VERY expensive to add even grainy black & white photos to a self-published book, so upon the book's release I will simultaneously activate a dedicated companion website with clear and vivid photos of everything discussed as well as convenient shopping links, recipes, and related articles.

My self-imposed deadline for the launch is early April. Until then, I promise that I'll write for Danny's Table a little more often.

Regards,

DannyM.
