It all started as a misunderstanding when the College Board of Trustees met to discuss possible commencement speakers. “Wouldn’t it be great if we could get Taylor Swift or Beyoncé?” Suggested one trustee. “Why, it WOULD be!” replied the chairman. Someone’s SIRI overheard him, and of course SIRI’s hearing isn’t what it should be. An AI-generated invitation was automatically issued before a human could catch the error. And so this year’s graduating class was regaled not with the soaring oratory of a pop super-diva, but rather the crusty wisdom of a blue collar renaissance man named WYATT WOODBEE. Thus was born a legend, a book, and a way of life.

It's been a busy winter (and spring) but now I can get back to writing for Danny's Table.
